A former client just sent me this message: Before coaching, he had not trained consistently in more than a decade. And he did not just struggle to get to the gym. He hated working out. During the four months we worked together, he gained 10 pounds of lean mass and got leaner. But after coaching ended, he told me something I liked even more. He was still following what we taught him. He was still training. And he actually loved going to the gym. His explanation was pretty simple: He learned how to make his training and nutrition fit his lifestyle. He also admitted he probably could have gotten faster results by going completely "dialed in." He chose something he could keep doing instead. That is a smart trade. Because the fastest possible plan does not do you much good if you are sick of it six weeks later. A plan that survives work, travel, family and a busy schedule has a chance to become part of your life. This guy went from more than a decade of inconsistency and hating the gym to continuing on his own after coaching ended. That is a result I am proud of. If you have spent years starting, stopping and convincing yourself that consistency just is not your thing, apply here: https://apps.bachperformance.com/apply We will build the plan around the life you actually have. Everyone wants to stay strong, lean, and healthy as they get older–but are you really consuming enough protein for that to happen? If you’re like most people, the answer is no.Here’s the problem: Protein synthesis drops with age. Sarcopenia, the age-related decline in lean muscle, increases as well. When you lose lean muscle, you lose functional capacity, your appearance changes–hey, saggy skin–and your metabolic rate slows down–making it easier to add body fat.Getting lots of protein–around...
