Living life in fast forward mode

The quote hit me like a sledgehammer this morning. "The days are long but the years are short." - Sahil Bloom

You know what's wild?

If your kids are under 10, you're their whole universe right now.

Every smile, every laugh, every moment together shapes their world.

But here's the gut punch: By the time they turn 18, you've already used up 80% of the time you'll ever spend with them. Let that sink in for a second.

And your parents? If they're 60 and you see them twice a year, you might only have 40 more visits left. That's it. No refunds, no do-overs.

I'm not trying to bum you out here. My daughter is 4 and my parents are in their 60’s and along with my brother, are halfway across the country.

Sometimes we need a reality check to wake us up–and this has my focus.

Want to know the best way to squeeze more juice out of life? Get your health in check. Like, yesterday.

Because no one looks back at their life wishing they missed another family dinner to work, watched more Netflix or scrolled more Instagram.

They wish they had more energy to play with their kids.
More strength to travel with their spouse.
More vitality to actually live.

Sure, we talk about looking great naked here. That's cool and all – but it's just the sexy wrapping paper.

The real gift? Having the energy to show up fully for the people who matter most.

Think about it—what’s worth more: Another hour scrolling Instagram, or having the vitality to chase your kids around the yard?

Food for thought.

Hey Reader,Let’s kick things off with a quote from yours truly:“People will eat burgers with no bun but add cheese to the burger and drink vodka...Because carbs make you fat.”I have nothing against vodka (unless it's before leg day), but this is a classic example of missing the forest for the trees. It’s not carbs, fat, or protein that’s the issue — it’s poor decision-making and an inability to zoom out.New Study: Vitamin D Helps You Store Calories as Muscle (Not Fat)Yep, seriously.A new...

Hey Reader, Welcome to this weeks Look Great Naked Newsletter where we help you look great naked without living in the gym. I want to kickstart today with a question: Are you pushing yourself hard enough to build muscle and strength A recent study found that training 1-2 reps shy of failure produces the same muscle growth as going to complete failure. Last week, one of my clients—a business owner, husband, and father—ran his bloodwork with us. No history of cholesterol issues. Sleeps about 6 hours a night. High stress, but nothing crazy. Then his aPoB levels came back. (aPoB is a much, much better indicator of atherosclerosis/plaque build up that leads to heart attack than regular cholesterol levels). Optimal: 30-40 His number? 127. That’s 2-4x higher than he should be.That’s major heart attack risk—despite being in good health with a...
